We listened to The Story of Ruby Bridges on this site.  This is the site where a celebrity actor or actress will read you a book, remember?!  There are MANY to choose from.

      2019- 2020

When students search for their teacher they should type lsoucy1 as their classroom/teacher's name, and press GO. Students must click on or enter their password from second grade. next.  Students should then go to the first category, "Leveled Books"

Reading done here requires students to listen to a story on their reading level. Then students must read it by themselves and take a 10 question multiplie choice quiz.  They can, and should, look back in the story for answers to the questions.  Students must finsh all three parts, in order to complete each title.  Once a student reads all titles at that level, they move up to the next level!

    • Studyladder 2019-20

This is THE website I consider to count as your 20 minutes of reading after school, even if you are 'doing' other subjects.  Since you must read in math, it will be excellent practice and you can use it at home with the sound on!  I alreay have your passwords in the classroom.

If you have time using a chromebook in the classroom, you will be able to complete four activites (for free) a day.  If you are looking for a site to subscribe to, I highly reccommed this site.  In the past we had free access all day and I would use if FAR more frequently.

Parents can create an accoun/become a member of the web site.

    • Learning is ABC for class 101!

This site is a mixture of grade level activities.  What excited me the most was that there are e-books for students to read.  After exploring the third grade site, CHALLENGE YOURSELF and select the upper grade activities!

All children's educational computer activities were created or approved by certified school teachers. All educational games are free and are modeled from primary grade lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way for children to learn.

Grade level lessons incorporate areas such as math and language arts, while introducing basic computer skills.
